You will find a large cobbled central square with tavernas shaded by Plane trees. If you are a keen walker...you can walk a further two and half hours down to the large, but quiet and sandy beach of Paltsi, passing through lush vegetation, spring waters and the monastery of Athanasios, to reach the beach on the Agean side of the peninsula. There, you can eat, swim and have a taxi ordered to bring you back in the evening.
